I’d like to share a short excerpt from my upcoming book, The Goddance, Dancing Beyond Dogma. The Chapter is called Who Are Goddancers or Do Goddancers eat French Fries. Enjoy….
First the definition:
Goddancer ~ god’danc’er (noun) 1. a being of divine origin, eternal love authentically expressing and experiencing form.
Authentic ~ au’then’tic (adjective) 1. of undisputed origin, genuine, trustworthy
I loved when I saw this definition of authentic; we are the goddancers of undisputed origin when we simply be ourselves. Our origin is of the essence of divine love. Sure we can be from some other city, country, or perhaps planet and yet in our authenticity our undisputed origin is our Essence, our Divinity, our universal fiber of Love where we are of the One.
Conscious ~ con’scious (adjective) ~ 1.awake and responsive to stimuli. 2. keenly aware ~ fully appreciating the importance of something.
Conscious goddancers are lovers in expression. The artist’s canvas, the mother’s dinner, the father’s son, the poet’s poem, the fiercely loving peaceful protest, the new politicians speech, the activists actions, the teacher’s students, all are lovers to the conscious goddancer…”
“And the mind ponders…Who Are the Goddancers? All sentient beings ~ Do goddancers eat French fries?~ of course many do. Some with no trans fat. Others lots of salt. ~ Do goddancers watch tv ~ if they have one, maybe. Perhaps when no one is looking or an educational show. Some love sitcoms on 70 inch screens and others still use VHS, I’m told. Are goddancers religious, wise, old young? Yes absolutely ~ sometimes. Do you have to do anything to become a goddancer? Yes, dance! (this can be with or without body movements) ~ Is there a protocol, or are some people goddancers and others not? Don’t ya love the mind? We see everyone as inherently divine and eternal and thus goddancers. You only have to decide to be and see everyone else as one too. What is the true meaning of a goddancer? ~one who lives life fully, authentically, causing no harm effortlessly because love cannot harm itself. Mostly you’ll feel it in your heart. Is this saying the name of god in vain? The goddance is not capitalized, I think that takes care of that, no seriously in vain means fruitlessly or unsuccessfully, goddancing is quite fruitful and successful! We’d say God loves goddancers! Do they have apps for goddancers? ~ Create one! Is there ever pizza at a goddancers party~ For some goddancers white flour and cheese are just too much, others seem fine with it. Some make gluten free and vegan pizza or my friend makes the best raw pizza, imagine! How about finding true goddancers? It’s easy if you open your heart and eyes ~ What’s true anyway? Ananda is a goddancer, (that’s our dog)

If You Don’t Stop That ~ I used to live in a cramped house with confusion and pain. But then I met the Friend and started getting drunk and singing all night. Confusion and pain started acting nasty, making threats, with talk like this, “If you don’t stop ‘that’—- All that fun—- We’re leaving.” Hafiz
